The Department of Extension Research and Liaison Services is mandated to disseminate validated research findings (results) to end-users.

Extension services continue to evolve; ERLS shall package the NIOMR activities to the world, and continue to explore various strategies to improve its efforts as the extension and training arm of the Nigerian Institute for Oceanography and Marine Research (NIOMR). ERLS is committed to bring extension services beyond boundaries. Our research vision is interdisciplinary and broadly inclusive.
