Fishery and Oceanographic Research Vessel R.V. Bayagbona

Navimor International and WISLA Shipyard deliver to Nigerian Institute for Oceanography and Marine Research (NIOMR) the multipurpose/combination research vessel R.V. Bayagbona in 2014. The vessel was built at WISLA Shipyard, under the supervisions of Bureau Veritas. The vessel is specially designed for conducting both fishery and oceanographic research operations in tropical waters. She is equipped with modern echosounding and sampling equipment, as well as with on-board fully equipped research laboratories. The hull is all-welded damage proof, steel structure. It is designed and built according to Bureau Veritas | * HULL.MACH notation. Fish hold structure installed on board operates at a temerature of -24deg C, while the blast freezer is being capable of freezing fish to -40deg C For fisheries and oceanography research both dry and wet laboratories are installed on board.
